I would describe Beach House as atmospheric and melodic, with lovely female vocals. Soft, layered and captivating. I listened to the shit out of their self titled album from '07. At South by Southwest in late March, they are playing with both Explosions in the Sky and Grizzly Bear.
Their home site doesn't appear to be recently updated but you can listen to some jams on myspace.
